just us girls

In a few short hours, little V and I will be headed to the airport to pick up the huzband.  He has been away about 12 days and we are both looking forward to his return.  While he has been gone, we have filled our time with school, friends, grandparents, festivals, work and lots of things in between.  Here is just a glimpse of what us girls have been up to while the huzband is away!  (Note: I let the huzband take my camera so while he was gone I was sporting my old camera, a Canon Rebel XTi with a 50mm 1.8 lens.)

met up with some friends at Chuck e Cheese : our first time there

tried a new burger joint that serves popcorn when you are seated

V is in a cherry phase.  Cherries on everything, several cherries.

Happy Memorial Day!  We headed to Jersey for the holiday and saw our cousin march in a parade.

cause real friends always sit in the same chair together

I love V’s face in this!

seeing what Dadoo is up to

though she has her own puppy now, she never forgets her old friends

V and I weren’t the only ones who had lots of fun with friends

taking notes at the car wash

ended out time without the huzband with face painting at a local Greek festival

note that she was not talking to anyone around her nor looking at me, who knows!

took a tour of the beautiful local Greek Orthodox Church

my little V

Though we both miss having the huzband around and nothing is not quite the same without him, I do relish in this time when I have her all to myself.  I don’t have to share her and she is always looking for me.  It’s like a non-stop mommy and V date for two weeks!  I am so thankful for this little girl who reminds me to take joy in all the little things in life!

  1. Rach,

We got V’s picture in the mail last week. Grant was thrilled. Thanks so much for thinking of us! The photos on this post are fantastic! I love the reflections in V’s sunglasses and the one while she’s on the ride at the festival. You’re an excellent photographer! Keep it up!

  2. I agree! You have a keen eye and take amazing photos. I think the one of with the flag reflected in V’s glasses is really cool too. 🙂
