Yesterday, I ventured into a whole new world for myself. I got my eyebrows waxed! Crazy!!
the eyebrows before
I am a fairly low maintenance girl and I admit, I really don’t do anything to my eyebrows. However, it was a complementary service of my gym (they have a spa/salon inside) and I decided this would be quite the fun adventure. I was excited and nervous. Excited for a new experience, nervous I’d come out looking like a crazy eyebrow lacking lady!
It was interesting to say the least; interesting and painful. Between the very hot wax in contact with my skin and the ripping out of hair, I don’t know why one would regularly submit themselves to this ritual. Then I saw my eyebrows. It was as if a curtain was removed from my eyes, a small hairy eyebrow curtain. It is a pleasant look, one I am happy with; just a little something extra special.
those are some hot, sexy eyebrows if I don’t say so myself
I think I can understand a bit why eyebrow waxing is habit-forming. Is it a habit I will pick up myself? I’m not sure yet. I’ll let you know after I’ve enjoyed my new eyebrows for a little bit. Eventually they will start to grow back…I guess I’ll see how much they bother me. Do you have a pampering treat you enjoy?
oh the itch!!! they don’t tell you about the itching!
the first few times it sometimes hurts but you def get used to ittt!!!! speaking of eyebrows i neeed to get my done tomorrow lol!
You crack me up! Next time you are in town and you feel a bit hairy I will take you to the European Wax place over here that is super posh and gives you your first wax for free with no commitments. oh yeah.
You should try eyebrow threading, much less agressive and scary than that hot wax stuff and more accurate I think, because hello, how accurate can the thumb depressor be with liquidy hot stuff on it! Lol Threading can range from $5-$9 on average and you can def go 3 weeks between, a little longer if it doesn’t bother you, but it def makes you feel like a new person after you get them done! Enjoy!
I’ve been getting my eyebrows done for about 17 years now. The salon I go to uses body sugar. It is warm like wax, but it is all natural and gentle on your skin. The lady who has been taking care of my eyebrows also trims them which is nice. Now that I’ve been doing it for so long, I only have to go about 4 times a year (once a season usually) because the hair on my brows has started coming in much more fine and light. Yours look great!!
