Thankfulness : day 11

I am so very thankful for the Velda’s in my life! The first, my grandmother, has played such an important role in my life. She is so very dear to my heart; a part of who I am. It’s this woman that I named my daughter after.

My daughter, the second Velda in my life, has done wonders to my heart. Never did I know a heart could be filled with so much love, joy, wonder, concern, heartache and vulnerability than when it becomes a mother.

How strange life would be without either of these Velda’s!
